The Quietus launched in early 2008 as a counterpoint to the fast-paced, quick-publish world of online music journalism. Situating themselves alongside more serious music titles such as Word and MOJO, and giving themselves a Year Zero of 1974 (the year Kraftwerk's 'Autobahn' single was released), they cover all types of music - as well as film, books, TV and comics.
